Abby Clayton-Brown is so excited to be a part of "The Spitfire Grill"! Abby is an Owensboro native who has been performing with Owensboro's many theatre companies since 2018, including Encore Musicals of Owensboro, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro, Bluegrass Community Theatre, and OCTC's Oak Island Theatre. You may have seen her as Jerusha in Encore's "Daddy Long Legs", Cinderella in TWO's "Into The Woods", or Wednesday Addams in OCTC's "The Addams Family". She is so honored to share Percy's story with you, and hopes you enjoy the show!

I’m 29 years old and just bought a house in Richland, Indiana with my fiancé, Blake, and our two sons who are almost 4 and 3 months old. I am a singer-songwriter and play guitar, but theatre is my first passion performance-wise. I loved seeing Into the Woods in 2024 and wanted to do a show with Encore ever since- it blew me away! Eventually, I want to return to school to became a therapist.

Susan Dant has called Owensboro home since 2003. She has served as Musical Director of TWO’s Something’s Afoot, Encore’s Legally Blonde: The Musical, and co-directed 9 to 5: the Musical. Her roles include BAM productions of Nunsense (Sister Hubert), and Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy), and ENCORE productions of Mamma Mia! (Donna Sheridan), Cinderella (Madame), Big Fish (Sandra Bloom), James and the Giant Peach (LadyBug), and the Smoke on the Mountain series (Vera Sanders). Her favorite roles are in her everyday life as wife to Scott, mom of four, and Mimi to Adeline, Harrison, Remi, and Miriam.

Jesse Hibbs, as Joe Sutters, is very excited to be in The Spitfire Grill. He has recently joined the Owensboro theatre community, working with Oak Island Theater as Gomez Addam's in The Addams Family and Smee in Peter Pan, two wonderful productions directed by Grae Greer. Jesse is a born and raised local to Owensboro and is a graduate of Owensboro Innovation Academy. He would like to thank Encore for putting on such a good show, for a wonderful rehersal process, and for having the lovely Kevin Clayton-Brown direct such a beautiful show. He would like to to thank his wife, Querida, for getting him into theater and for supporting him in everything he does.

Jordan is so excited to return for his second Encore show; it feels like coming home already! His favorite credits include Next to Normal, Sweeney Todd, Legally Blonde, Jekyll & Hyde, and Lord of the Flies. He is from Newburgh, Indiana. When he’s not on stage, he is a school counselor who loves to travel, cook, and ride roller coasters. He is addicted to coffee… send help! Kayla Renee Kelley is a graduate of WKU with her BFA in Theatre. This mom of three has been in six Encore shows and countless other musicals and plays. Some of Kayla’s favorite roles have been Ado Annie(Oklahoma!), Sylvia(Sylvia), and Baker’s Wife(Into the Woods). Kayla has loved working with this cast and crew, and feels very lucky to share the stage with such a small but mighty team!

Honored to be a part of this cast and crew. The Spitfire Grill has been nothing short of amazing, as well as playing The Visitor i’ve also played Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night and Count Dracula in Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors.
