Meet our Board of Directors

  • Emily Malone - President

    Emily is an alumni of the Music Department at Kentucky Wesleyan College and has been a featured soloist for the Owensboro Symphony Chorus and the The Owensboro Choral Society.

    Emily has been president of our board since 2017, and has served as Director for our productions of “Smoke on the Mountain: Homecoming” and “Little Women”. She also Co-Directed our production of “Bright Star” and served as Music Director for “Mamma Mia”

  • Joe Bob Pierce - Vice President

    Joe Bob has appeared in almost every Encore Musicals production. He plays guitar (mostly bluegrass), sings in the Third Baptist Church choir, is vice president of Encore, and tells great jokes.

  • Ronda Rodgers - Treasurer

    You’ve most recently seen Ronda as Mrs. Potts in our production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. She serves this community on the Encore Musicals Board of Directors and as a Director of Nursing Development for Owensboro Health.

  • Susan Dant - Secretary

    Susan Dant has called Owensboro home since 2003. She became involved in the musical theatre community through Theatre Workshop of Owensboro, Back Alley Musicals, and Encore Musicals.

    She has been seen in local productions of Nunsense (Sister Hubert), Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy), Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming (Vera Sanders), and James and the Giant Peach (LadyBug). However, her favorite role has been Donna Sheridan in the Encore production of Mamma Mia.

  • Janet Corum

    Janet, a Paducah native, graduate of Murray State, & retired teacher, was most recently seen as Madame de la Grande Bouche in our production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”.

    Broadway musicals are her passion! She sings in a combo, “Sentimental Journey”, her church choir, & helps provide food for the refugee community through church. She has 2 sons, Edwin Reichmuth & Otto Corum III.

  • Loré North

    A veteran of the Encore stage, Loré enjoys comedic roles and the joy of knowing you laughed- a lot!

    She was most recently seen as Lola in “Damn Yankees”, and one of her favorite roles is the recurring character of June Sanders, whom she has played in "Smoke on the Mountain", “Smoke on the Mountain: Homecoming”, and (coming December of 2022) “Sander’s Family Christmas”

  • Kim Norton

    Kim is a native of Owensboro and has supported many community projects over the years.  She has been the parent liaison for the Kentucky Youth Chorale for several years and has a passion for the arts - especially musical theatre.  

    She is excited to be involved with Encore and looking forward to future projects with so many amazing people!

  • David Roberson

    David has been singing, acting in and directing shows in Owensboro for over 35 years. Directing credits include “James and the Giant Peach”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, and Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” among others. An Encore board member, he serves as Music Minister at Third Baptist Church.

  • Jim Wilhoyte

    Jim, A founding member of Encore, was self employed for 42 years and was fortunate to be able to retire at 58.

    “I've had the privilege of building all of Encore’s set except for Damn Yankees. Enjoy singing and having small parts in several of Encore’s productions. So happy to be a part of this wonderful group of people!”

  • Rebecca Volk

    Owensboro native Rebecca Volk is the choral and theatre director at Daviess County Middle School. Favorite roles with Encore Musicals include: Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, Meg in “Little Women”, and Christine Colgate in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. Volk  also served as the music director for Encore Musicals’ “James and the Giant Peach”.  In her spare time, Volk enjoys reading, playing oboe, traveling, coaching Academic Team, and music directing at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. She is most often found with her two dogs, Sirius and Severus.
