Tan is a veteran of Encore Musicals, having appeared in The Fantastics, the Sanders Family series (in which he lassoed Lore’ North and rode Justin Miller), and Bright Star (along with Lauren Calhoun), among others. In his inaugural Owensboro musical role, Tan appeared topless in The King and I along with Leah McDivitt and Misty Miller (only Tan was topless). His first musical role was in seminary, where he starred as “Man” in a student-written work, missed a fake fall on closing night, and broke his left arm. So be careful when you wish him to “break a leg.”

A veteran of the Encore stage, Lore enjoys comedic roles and the joy of knowing you laughed - a lot! Some of her favorite roles include Lola (Damn Yankees), Morticia Addams (The Addams Family) and Sister Julia (Nunsense).

Susan Dant has called Owensboro home since 2003. She has served as Musical Director of TWO’s Something’s Afoot, Encore’s Legally Blonde: The Musical, and co-directed 9 to 5: the Musical. Her roles include BAM productions of Nunsense (Sister Hubert), and Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy),and ENCORE productions of Cinderella (Madame), Mamma Mia! (Donna Sheridan), Big Fish (Sandra Bloom), James and the Giant Peach (LadyBug), and Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming and Sanders Family Christmas (Vera Sanders). She is tickled pink to collaborate with the Sanders family matriarch once again in this production of Smoke on the Mountain. However, her favorite roles are in her everyday life as ‘Mom’ of four, ‘Mimi’ to Adeline, Harrison, Remi, and Miriam, and ‘Wife’ to Scott. “My cup overflows!”

Joe Bob performs regularly for Encore Musicals and feels very lucky to join this talented cast in another signature Encore show! Now a retired therapist, he spends time playing bluegrass music, assisting the staff at Third Baptist Church, serving on the Encore board, and telling good jokes.

Emma is a recent graduate from Western Kentucky University. When she is not performing on stage, Emma is an Interior Designer! She has been performing since she was in elementary school and is excited to be on stage again with Encore!

My name is Samuel Kent Moore. I am 14 years old and a freshman at DCHS. I attend First Baptist Church and enjoy guitar, bluegrass music, jam sessions with my friends, fishing, and just being with my friends no matter what we are doing.
